Our Palazzio in Riposto

What to Expect

We are Trine and Jan Taarneby from Tønsberg, Norway, and together with our two children, Konstanse and Kornelius, we share a love for this special place.

With love, we chose to buy this once-unloved palazzo in 2021 and have since devoted our time and energy to bringing her back to life.

It is a true pleasure for us to share our part of this historic palazzo and its hometown, Riposto.

We operate in close cooperation with local authorities and comply with all regulations for short-term accommodation in Italy.

Our responsibilities include the mandatory registration of guest identification with the police authorities and the collection of the local tourist tax on behalf of the municipality.

For transparency, additional details are outlined on our Legal & Compliance page.

❋ Transparent Hosting

We live part of the year in Riposto and know both the house and the town well.

When we are not there, the property is cared for by people we trust deeply: our gardener, Signor Messina, and our housekeeper, Signora Loredana, who ensure everything is well-maintained and runs smoothly throughout the year.

❋ In Trusted Hands

Tacasa is primarily offered as an entire-property stay, ideal for families or small groups who wish to enjoy the house and garden in privacy.

Availability and current rates can be viewed, and reservations made securely, through Airbnb.

❋ Booking Tacasa

Since 2021, we have carefully restored the property with deep respect for its history and character. We have aimed to improve comfort and functionality while preserving the building’s architectural soul.

The spaces that now form the apartments were once small shops, workshops, and even stables connected to the palazzo.

❋ A Restored Palazzo

A calm courtyard offering a slower rhythm within a lively town.

Courtyard & Garden

Shared spaces are meant for quiet moments and connection. For everyone’s comfort, we invite guests to use the designated seating areas and outdoor gathering spots.

Pool Area

The pool is a shared space for refreshment and relaxation. Children must always be supervised, and swimming is at their own risk. We kindly ask guests to be considerate of others and to use the plastic glassware provided in their rooms around the pool.

We kindly ask guests to be mindful of cleanliness for everyone’s comfort.

Parking

Parking in the courtyard is limited and shared. Please park considerately and coordinate with fellow guests. If space is unavailable, free street parking can be found in the nearby side streets (not on the main roads).

❋ Transparent Hosting

We operate in close cooperation with local authorities and fully comply with Italian regulations for short-term accommodation.

As a certified host in the Comune di Riposto, we are assigned a unique CIR number and registered with the official compliance system, PayTourist, ensuring that the property meets all local legal and safety requirements.

In Italy, hosts are legally required to collect and remit the municipal tourist tax (imposta di soggiorno).

The tax is set by the municipality and applies to guests staying in paid accommodation. It supports local services, tourism infrastructure, and initiatives that benefit both residents and visitors.
